Warden doesn’t have to bid out the work unless the total cost project exceeds $50k.

Seriously, who cares? Is the Warden’s house on prison grounds? If so, isn’t he simply protecting a taxpayer owned asset.

Last night’s report said they were bagging over 20,000 for people to pick up

Did the Warden put out that report??? Don't think so. Sounds like the "report" was wrong.
Some idiot probably rode by there and saw the criminals filling sand bags and ASSUMED they were giving them out. In actuality, they were filling sand bags to protect property on Hunt's campus. LOL

Warden's house is STATE PROPERTY

WBRZ was live on site. Interviewed prisoners who were glad to be helping out the community, and talked with the deputy warden.

I know. As usual, context is lost on the OT.

Maybe the warden is making a double think wall and putting around his private putting green too.

You could enclose the average par 3 much less a putting green

Gotta have that backup plan.

Or not live in a place so susceptible to natural disasters.

5th ward fire station between Burnside and Darrow has some already bagged up and the parking lot is empty if anyone is looking in the area. That's not too far from Hunt.

There’s plenty of sand at that park on S. Flannery. A truck recently went in to unload another pile.
