Just watched video of his son and it was like watching Emmitt with the Cowboys! Did we ever recruit him hard? That guy is legit and is going to be a great running back for someone! Something tells me he's headed to Florida.

Emmitt came out of nowhere. The first time LSU new who he was he showed up and put it on the Tigers as a freshman.

LSU fans treated Emmitt like shite. He'd never let his son come to LSU

Smith did not come out of nowhere. He and Carlos Snow were the two most famous high school players in the country. Every major college recruiter and SEC coach "new" about Smith.

Out of nowhere??? You are dead wrong.
He was running for 200 yard games as a sophomore. He was featured in Sports Illustrated as a hs student....unheard of in those days.
Everybody would have killed to have him. He was amazing.

Not saying he won't, but I heard this exact stuff about Barry Sanders Jr.

His field vision is incredible just like his father. All that jumping to the side to avoid tacklers is a rare skill that only a few can do. I can't recall another RB recently that possessed that natural ability. He's fun to watch!

LSU isn't on his radar/he's not on LSU's radar.
Don't care.

Emmitt Smith came out of nowhere as a freshman? He was the Gatorade Player of the Year in 1986 in high school.

Ok BS on Emmitt.
My dad was buds with Sam Nader when he was alive. We had "connections"!
We used to eat lunch with the recruits back then...............Emmitt brought the entire team on his recruiting trip to LSU. Probably 50 kids walking around with the same lettermen jacket.
Heavily recruited.

Wasn't Emmitt featured on Scholastic Sports America with Chris Fowler back in the day? Out of Escambia High.
