fridge not cooling -frozen? Updated

One spot looks like its sweating when unplugged
ETA the freezer works but fridge section is not cooling. There us a clicking noise that sounds like the fan on the back side of the freezer section. The picture is an area behind the upper freezer that appears to be "sweating" when it was unplugged. The fridge is about 6-7 years old.
I took the back panel off and there was a lot of ice. Pic in response below. I let it thaw out and see the fan is working with a light clicking sound.

You'll need to post more info than a pic. What brand, how old, what is it doing, have you taken it apart to check the coils in the freezer section, are the coils underneath it clogged with dirt????

I emptied my freezer section and took off the panels off the back of it on the inside. I found the coils were frozen solid and iced over. I used my wife's hair dryer to defrost the ice, cleaned everything up, put it all back together and it worked fine for a few more weeks, but eventually gave up the ghost.
Thing is, they don't make appliances like they once did and the last side by side I had was only 8 years old when it went out and about the same for the washer/dryer I had to get after Katrina.
Check under the fridge to see how those coils and fan are doing. They get clogged up with dust, dirt, pet and human hair very easily. A thorough cleaning may help for a while.

this sounds like ice is blocking the fan from turning. the clicking is the blade hitting the ice.
lets assume nothing is wrong and you just blocked the vent grill by cramming too much shite in the freezer. to test this empty the freezer and fridge completely and leave the doors open to defrost overnight. adding a box fan to blow air into them helps speed this along and after you are sure is completely defrosted and no longer dripping water or cold spots can be felt in the freezer, then plug in back in and it should be good as new but confirm the fans are working and not burnt out.
a fan motor is a cheap fix if thats all it is but getting to them can be a challenge.
the number one reason freezers stop working is people jam shite in front of the slotted grille and block the vent slots. if it cant draw in air from those slots at the bottom it cant circulate the air out the top so it just turns into a giant block of ice

Took the back panel off and it was frozen. I'm going to defrost it and see if it helps. Would this be a thermostat problem?

i took the panel off and there was ice all over the coils. I plugged the fridge back in and the fan started spinning. There was a slight clicking sound but it spun well and circulated air.
I'm going to let it thaw out and see if that solves the problem

cant really see where the air intake is but its most likely at the bottom of that panel so just take care not to cramp shite up against it and block it from pulling in air. it doesnt have strong suction so it doesnt take a lot to block it

Most likely the defrost heater gone bad.
How to test a defrost heater
When it goes it causes ice to build up on the coils. Also check that the passage between the freezer and fridge is not blocked with ice, that would cause the freezer to cool but not the fridge.

It could be the timer, heater, or fan.

My guess is The defrost terminator is bad. The defrost terminator is a small factory set thermostat which terminates the defrost cycle when the temperature in the evaporator section reaches a certain temperature. This defrost terminator is wired in-line with the defrost heaters. It is about as round as a quarter and about ¾ inches thick.

It froze up again after vdefrosting and with hardly anything in the freezer compartment. Tested the heater and it passed. The fan circulates air. I guess the thermostat is bad?
