Sources say CAA is getting closer to signing presumed No. 1 pick Zion Williamson. Still not a done deal but that's the way signs are pointing.

Good news for those of us not wanting him to sign with Klutch.

Thank Christ.
Look...CAA agents are sharks too, and they will seek out any leverage they can, just like any good agent will. But they are pros that actually know what they are doing, not two bit hustlers selling counterfeit jerseys out of their trunks.
Also:
Today is the last day Zion could pull from the draft if he wanted to go back to college (a ludicrous idea, I'm just stating a fact)

CAA Sport’s most public dealings still revolve around the playing contracts of superstar athletes such as Chris Paul, Drew Brees, J.J. Watt and Dwyane Wade. Since July, four NBA clients and a pair of NFL stars (Matt Ryan and Aaron Donald) have signed agreements worth at least $130 million each. But increasingly the non-athlete divisions of CAA Sports are closing the biggest deals.

For sure, but as you said they are professionals, and deal in a professional manner, unlike Klutch.

CAA also reps Drew Brees...so they've raped our ownership before and everyone felt pretty good about it.

Worst thing for us would’ve been Zion choosing Klutch. Whether AD returns or not, this is good news for our future with Zion. Rich Paul is just a LeBron cronie, get him the hell away from us

Speaks highly of his judgment and decision-making at his age.
Also makes me wonder if the leak that Klutch was signing Zion was simply Klutch being Klutch. As they seem to have a habit of leaking perceived advantageous things to their proxies at ESPN and elsewhere. Meanwhile, clearly CAA and others were in the running but that never broke.

I’m fascinated by LeBron and his agents dynamics. That plus the windhorst fatass dude is really a surreal team.
He’s helping to destroy the lakers and it’s fun to watch.

Conspiracy Theory. What if this Griff & AD meeting was all just one big ruse to help Zion escape the clutches of Klutch Sports, just long enough to sign with an another agent? Mid-meeting Griff receives a text telling him that the deal is done and he promptly stops what he is doing, removes his shirt, and walks out of the room revealing a fresh “That’s all Folks” tattoo across his sculpted back. And that will mark the last communication our franchise has with Klutch and/or AD.

The agent value is endorsement monies not contract negotiations for an NBA rookie.

That could be said about a lot of very successful people in this country!
