LSU Compliance Dept. staff directory

In looking through the LSU compliance department staff directory one thing really caught my attention. Why does this guy have the title of director of compliance? He could be the nicest guy in the world, but his resume and experience don't really fit into a position that carries so much power.

Matt Jakoubek, Director of Compliance Jakoubek is entering his fourth year in the LSU Compliance Office. In his current role, Jakoubek is responsible for supervision of all agent and advisor activities, as well as rules education and rules interpretations. He also serves as the staff liaison for NCAA and SEC waivers and monitors playing and practice seasons. Prior to LSU, Jakoubek served as Compliance Coordinator at the University of Rhode Island for two and a half years and as a Compliance Intern at Colorado State University for two years. A native of Garner, IA, Jakoubek earned his Bachelor's degree in general studies from the University of Northern Iowa in 2005.
