And have CRAZY depth allowing for talented players to rest up and come back in fresher.

Why do people keep saying this?

Bama's top 3 DL played 80% of the snaps last year and only 2 others played regularly

2 years ago Q. Williams barely played

Bama has been short on DL depth for 2 years, that's why they signed 6 DL this past class. They have also lacked depth at ILB and still have that hole to fill currently

Aranda is hurting D-line recruiting because Aranda is an awful recruiter, not because of his coaching ability.

It is not scheme. The 3 four defense is like that. Face it that Aramnda is not a good recruiter. No personality. No ability to relate to the kids

Marcel Brooks would disagree with what you are saying.

Meatball is not the best recruiter and he is our defensive line coach. If anyone is to blame it would be him.

Right. LSU is the only major college team to use this type of defense.

I’ve never heard any defensive coach say a dlineman isnt supposed to absorb blocks and keep LBs clean.

Seriously wtf

Although the truth is that these DL man are there to plug holes, if ran correctly they all have their times to make plays. This is with any defense and with so many NFL teams running this same system it would be just as easy to tell these guys that NFL teams don't just look at raw stats but they look at how you performed within the defense and if you do your job at your own position the stats will find you.

Our DL recruiting is hurting due to

A) UGA and A&M has upped the ante are now additional players for significant DL and not just good talent. Quite frankly they are outbidding us. Certain sources lets say...may have dried up and we need to look at new sources. Certain donors holding back due to dissatisfaction with direction of everything LSU does not help. Replace King and Alleva and put certain strong folks in place at BOS level and the confidence will return and more money will flow.

B) Meatball does not have the skins on the wall nor the connections outside of MS to be considered an elite recruiters. He is someone the young student athletes can relate to but he is not a closer. Plain and simple.

C) The best closer for DL is over extended - coach O. He needs hands on help with a proven DL recruiter.

Rashard is a hell of a player at the point of attack, but his bad ankles limit his ability to pursue.I truly believe Farrel is the guy to watch. He is slippery enough, and can run better than the other guys,I would love to see one of the athletic olb types bulk up to 285 and play with his hand in the dirt.Tommy T. Did that for a good while at Auburn.

Ill make that trade to have a great coordinator and let everyone else do the recruiting. Let CEO and position coaches recruit and let the coordinators develop scheme and plans for players
