Who cares? They won’t win the tournament. If they can’t be one of the best 30+ at large teams who cares about them?

Most of them

Because instead we have to have Oklahoma teams who lose to last place west Virginia in the 1st round of the Big 12 tournament and finish 7-11 in Big 12 play or Indiana who was also 4 games under .500

That's the problem I have. If a team like UNC Greensboro got as many chances on their home floor vs. Q1 teams as the major conference teams did I am sure they would cash in on a few of those opportunities.

Not about being left out of the tournament but saw this regarding two mid major schools.

quote:

Why is Gonzaga “locked in as a 1 seed”?
Compare them to Houston
Q1: Zaga 4-3 Houston 5-2
Q2: Zaga 6-0 Houston 9-0
SOS: Zaga 58 Houston 57

Houston also in the much better conference

Please help me understand why Gonzaga is “locked” as a 1 but Houston would never be considered

Not sure how accurate this is, but gets ya thinking

the committee hasn't said that, so that tweet is pointless.
When the seeds are released, then that person can bitch

Not all Q1 wins are equal. I fricking hate the quadrant system.

So a win over team #31 on your home floor is a Q2 win but a win over team #30 on your home floor is Q1. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. So the difference between 30 and 31 is an entire quadrant? We have enough mathemeticians and data scientists out there to be able to create a sliding scale instead of one based on arbitrary start and end points.

But Houston does not have anywhere near as good of a win as Duke on a neutral floor

Furman
SoCon strong this year. I fear Wofford will be the only bid.

I mean it's no different than "top 25" wins in CFB

All of them. Can’t wait to see a 18-15 Florida team get blown out in their first game tho!
