For those that for some reason discount Waters Saturday night showed his importance. By Tony Benford and the players own admissions, the "coaching" was simply "Tremont, go run the team."

LSU's offense relies significantly on Waters being able to make the right reads as to what the defense is doing. Then, when there is nothing available, he simply creates his own shot.

I don't know what will eventually happen to Wade. And I know Smart is a tremendous player. But we are really, REALLY, going to miss Waters when he's gone. He's a special college talent

Davis was worthy of it but Wade got screwed on this one. I don't think he would have won it regardless of the situation which is quite sad!
