Be ready to throw. None of the morning parades will have bands or marching groups. Float followed by float.

Isn’t this known as the ‘Krewe of the shut-ins?’

Yes. Their original route went by many hospitals, infirmaries and old folks homes.

Staff would bring out as many residents as possible to enjoy the parade.

I can verify this is indeed the situation. My daughter is riding this morning, and we were informed yesterday afternoon they the bands would be stripped from the parades.

Is this what was known as the Truck Parade 60 years ago?

Thoth is a great parade, especially for families.

If you knew then why’d you’d ask?

And it was really fun today although I will say I missed the pageantry of the bands and dance groups. The kids loved it though.
