I think Mustafi is better on the ball than Lovren, as his passing has been superb from the moment he came here, and he only occasionally makes the wrong decision with the ball. But otherwise I think that is a good comparison. There just isn't another VVD on the market, except for maybe Koulibaly.

Aaron Ramsey today signed pre-contract agreement to join Juventus in summer. 28yo penned 4yr deal after passing 2-part medical late Jan. Wales midfielder leaves Arsenal 30 June after 11yrs. Set to become all-time highest-paid GB player (basic salary), just over £400kpw #Juve #AFC

Good god. He's good but not that good. He will be the highest paid player from GB. Is he so good that he deserves that?

I love him, but I don't think he is. I mean he's been my second favorite player this last decade. It's good for him that he goes. He's certainly not the best player from GB. He is in the top 10 at least.

I do wonder how the team would look with Arteta in charge instead of Emery. Emery is very committed to his system. With Arteta it would likely have been the case that Wilshere and Ramsey would both re-sign. Amazing to think about.

I straight up don't agree with Emery on Ramsey and Ozil, as he's being very stubborn. We will see if it will lead to something positive.

He is getting paid that much because the transfer is a freebie. I love Aaron, but that number does astound me.

How do we give up a goal to BATE? What is wrong with the defense? So poorly disciplined.

He didn't negotiate contracts. It's clear to me Ramsey and agents thought he should get ozil money and we were not going to give it. So he got it elsewhere. Arsenal have been really poor making deals outside of like a Rob holding.

Ramsey and Welbeck leaving on a free is just stupid.

good fricking god this was an awful game.

I mean I know the game will be entirely different back at the Emirates but holy shite, team should be ashamed of this effort.

Pretty shitty.

Had opportunities, don't have creativity in the midfield.

Team still plays weak. May take a while to lose that.

I still don't see an argument for not playing Ozil.

Its a good thing we didn’t buy Suarez straight up. Based on what we’ve seen so far he’s soft like Charmin.

David Ospina will become a Napoli player on a permanent basis, manager Carlo Ancelotti has said.

Ospina is on loan from Arsenal, with an option to buy as well as a clause that makes a permanent move automatic if the Colombian plays a certain number of games.

There had been suggestions that Ospina was not being played to avoid activating this clause, but Ancelotti says he will stay at the club beyond his loan.

"Ospina will remain at Napoli next season, regardless of how many games he plays," Ancelotti said in his post-match press conference at the weekend.

I would have liked to see the offer we gave him (that he was going to sign) but then pulled back on

I would love to see Ramsey move back into the pivot role alongside guendouzi

It's not like our defense can get that worse
