If the Lakers have a star like Kawai want to join them this summer, would they even have enough cap space to sign Davis in 2020? The Lakers would be foolish to waste Lebron for two years waiting on Davis. By then he will be 36.

If you were married, would you rather your wife cheat on you with another woman or another man? You could rationalize her turning out to be a lesbian (it wasn't you), but her cheating with another man is a bigger blow to the ego for sure.
But the point is that Magic's personal life has nothing to do with his business stances (like you shouldn't hate gay people but if you do that's not something that I'm going to fix). Whenever you bring up Trump's affairs and generally that he's a POS in his personal life you get "LoGICal EQuivAlENce!" on the Poli board and that's the same general idea here.

So, full disclosure, I grew up a huge Magic Johnson fan and still am.
There's a lot of stuff here that isn't really true. He got married 45 days prior to the HIV diagnosis in 1991, and was infected prior to the marriage. No one's really claimed he cheated on her post marriage.
They'd had an on again, off again relationship prior due to him being with other women. I'm a fan, but he was no saint in that department. Both he and his wife say he cut that out when they decided to get married.
So, saying he cheated on her after marriage isn't particularly correct. Similarly with saying he knowingly exposed her to HIV, they were both pretty clear they never had unprotected sex post-diagnosis.
And yes, I'm a fan of his, which is why I know this and bothered to look up the timing of the stuff I didn't know. I get Pels fans don't like the Lakers. I also get he was far from a saint, but OP's a little over the top with stuff that didn't happen.

This is an emotional uninformed fan base still angry at the Lakers over the Chris Paul trade despite Paul asking to be traded to the Knicks. Lakers/Clippers were the beneficiaries of a Bush League organization unwilling to work with the Knicks.

The virulence of HIV has decreased pretty dramatically over the years. It's evolution at work.
(A virus/bacteria loses opportunities to spread if it kills it's "host" too quickly. Selection for a more slow-burn type disease increases the fitness of that strain of virus/bacteria.)
And, of course, 30+ years of drug research has helped a lot as well.

The Lakers current FO(and former ones too) have a history of tampering. Along with Klutch and LeBron, they have been planting seeds all year.
Demps has more experience than RP and Magic. He out maneuvered them for the time being. Magic is pissed about it.

Rich Paul & Magic have internet just like you & I'm aware they knew it was a Hail Mary. See Kawhi Leonard ( request for Clippers / L.A.) , Paul George , Chris Paul asking N.O. to trade him to the Knicks.
They are aware teams would probably be Petty/ vindictive towards any trade destination request from a player.

There is evidence that suggests the existence of a "gay gene" located on the X chromosome. Men only get one of these. So, homosexual men are indirectly (perhaps directly) beneficial to the survival of said X chromosome. In evolution terms, since they are far less likely to produce their own offspring, they are an additional male to help raise, protect, and provide for siblings and their siblings' offspring.
This may be in dispute or incorrect now, it has been a while since I've read about such topics in regards to human evolution and whatnot, but this is the gist of how I remember it.
