That's really scenario 2 here.
If they find a way to get the Wizards to give up Bradley Beal or the Suns to give up an unprotected (or lightly protected, like Top 1) first this year, they are in the discussion.
Problem is that the NO front office pretty much gave the Lakers a shopping list for what they were looking for and the Lakers couldn't come up with any of it. IIRC, Beal and Jokic were on it.

I asked Jennifer Lawrence if she wanted to frick and I don't really think she acted in good faith by saying no. She didn't even hear me out.
