So...why did Tommy Lee Lewis just pop up with nothing to say about that call?

I'm not saying I like anyone bitching about calls, but that's not the game they play. If you feel that you've been interfered with, you don't just pop up and run back into the huddle.

Just the whole thing. They shouldn't have let the next play be called. What's a 15 yard penalty from there to Lutz? Not much. Just saying...the Saints reaction or lack there of didn't help the situation at all. The ref held out his hand, and Payton did an about face. He probably said, "coach, why you throwing the ball on 1st down?".

I truly believe he assumed there would be a flag. He turns around later like “WTF??”

Players play. Referees ref. He shouldn’t have to say anything. They blew it!

Probably bc he just got his shite wrecked. It’s not on him to put up a fight on the call anyway. Sean should have blown a gasket and disrupted the game until the refs reviewed the noncall more thoroughly

Maybe he should have stayed on the ground longer to milk it but damn I ain't blaming TLL for not bitching it was so obvious PI everybody probably thought the flag was coming.

He stood up, started to run to center field, stopped to think, then turned to the refs and threw his hands up like wtf was that, where is the flag.... I think he was hit so hard he wasnt thinking right at first....

He 100 percent expected the flag. So did the perp No. 23. It’s obvious by watching each of them after the play.

I don't disagree with anything you say, but we just carried forward with the next play. Like I said, interrupt play...do whatever you have to do to get the call.

He was hit so hard his mouthpiece flew out. Do you think you would be thinking ahead if you took a shot like that?

If you can go find the postgame interview. He admitted he thought it should have been a flag. He said he got up and looked at the ref and the ref was saying incomplete and quietly mouthed it was tipped. If there is any truth to that, there needs to be an immediate investigation because a no-PI play because of a tipped pass is 100% reviewable. AND, the ref never made the tipped pass sign which is a requirement for a ball to be considered tipped.

It seemed that TLL thought it was so egregious and obvious that he assumed the flag was thrown, so not much reaction from him initially.

If you look at the video, a few seconds after it seems he realized there was no call, and at that point he did start flailing his arms around, assuming he was complaining about the no call.

The thing is it was such an obvious call you can’t blame him for popping right back up. In hindsight I’m certain he wishes he would have laid on the ground for a while. That may have forced the issue.
