I used to live at Red’s for years and now I’m gonna be in and out of Lafayette for most of this year so I’m looking for a place that’s cheap where I can go run and do basic exercises. Nothing crazy. Any recs?

Anytime fitness on Johnston is solid.

Yea the anytime in Johnston is solid but it’s a lot of cardio equipment. The one at the end of kaliste by Broussard is legit though.

I did the planet fitness black membership. I know they are corny as hell but with the black I can go to any PF in the country. I can bring a guest anytime too. $22 a month $1 down is hard to beat for what I am looking for.

Planet Fitness gets a lot of crap ,but I love the one in Covington. Has everything I need to get in shape and stay there. The equipment always works and it is clean. Beats all of the Anytime Fitnesses I have been to. And the price can’t be beat.

Not sure where you’ll be but AF on Pont de Mouton is a good one

The new Anytime in Scott is nice. I've used the ones all over Acadia Parish as well. All of them are just fine. I wish I lived closer to Red's. I grew up in that place.

I used to go to Red's and still have a membership actually. I joined City Club and love it. The weight room is never packed.

Planet Fitness is rarely too full (except for now through the next few weeks) and they have plenty of options for Basic lifting and cardio.

How does Anytime work as far as un manned locations and 24/7 access when traveling?

Do the scanners or keypads let you in at all locations?

Your first month you can only go to your home base location. After that month you can get into any location with you key fob

I lived in Lafayette from 2013-2015.The Anytime off of Kaliste was my go-to. Loved that place and the setup they had. I went to the one off Johnston a couple times, but preferred Kaliste over it. Not sure how they’ve changed if at all since then though.
