Wife and I are planning a trip there for the third week in Feb. Taking our 1 year old along, and plan to relax the entire time. Like completely do nothing. Destination was chosen to stay away from Zika risk.
Haven’t booked anywhere yet, but will within the week. Anyone been? Recommendations? Looking to rent somewhere with a golf cart.

Sounds like you’re set on Spanish Wells? That’s a neat little place. Probably easiest with having a baby.
If you want to have a great time adventuring by boat and maybe catch a LOT of fish, check out TyMan Charters and make sure to ask for Capt Ruben. He’s good people and will keep you entertained.

We go to Eleuthera every summer. We get a VRBO on Winding Bay. We rent a car for the week and travel around and explore the beaches and do some sightseeing. But Winding Bay is perfect for kids to hang out in the water.

Thanks for the info. Looks like there are a handful with golf carts. The French Leave was the one I was looking at.

That’s a nice place, but, in my opinion, the island is far too beautiful to stay on a resort. Lighthouse Beach, glass window bridge, the blue hole in rock sound... all great places to visit.
Also, I’d still give TyMan a call.

If you want a day with a little more action, hop on the ferry and spend a day on Harbour Island. Rent a golf cart when you get off the ferry, there will be guys standing around ready to rent you a cart. Good restaurants on Harbour Island, interesting architecture, and just more activity. Great beach too. You can rent chairs/umbrella at a couple of the public access points.
EDIT: you CAN rent beach chairs

Agree on Harbour Island. Just spent a week there. Great food and cool town. Be prepared though, it is expensive. Also, Eleuthera and Harbour do not take Am Ex. AT ALL. So have cash and visa. I wish we knew that info before we went. Go to The Landing for dinner. Great spot. Have fun.

I always make the assumption that if I'm traveling anywhere outside of the U.S. that Am Ex will not be accepted.

Where are you staying? The French Leave, just like OP?

From the Cove, if you take a kayak out and go right to the next cove over, you will see a little Airstream camper set up a little off the beach. That's Lenny Kravitz's place and he sometimes hangs out at Daddy Joe's.
Have a great time, take a day to explore the island.
