Need a new IPhone.

I don’t understand the differences in the new models. I don’t use my phone for anything special, so some obscure function won’t swing it one direction or the other. What should I get and why?

The main differences are camera capability and screen type/size.
The Xs and Xs Max both have more advanced, 2 lens cameras and higher resolution OLED screens.
The Xr has a single lens camera which is still very good, and traditional LCD screen. It is also a size in between the Xs and Xs Max. The Xr is fine for most people. I upgraded from a 6 and have no complaints.

Just buy the cheapest new one available. I’m still using a 6 and it does everything I need. Memory is getting low bc of Apple updates, and the battery needs to be charged more, but otherwise I don’t need any other features in these newer models

Maybe even opt for a 7 or 8 on Swappa if you don't need the newest.

Verizon was doing $1 a month for business accounts on 7's a week ago. I'd imagine they are cheap else where as well

Due to the camera if you have kids and pet you 're gonna take a lot of pictures of get the Xs, if not get the R.

picked up an iphone X NiB on swappa for $500 and i think thats a better piece of hardware than the Xr and you can find deals on it although people are starting to catch on and i think thats driving the used prices up.
