Red Sox Tickets Outside Fenway

I will be making a trip to Boston to catch a Sox game mid-September. In previous trips we have purchased tickets outside of the stadium for a bargain compared to the outrageous prices I am seeing online through StubHub and Vivid seats. Since the Sox are having a franchise-record setting season I am weary about my luck with finding tickets outside the stadium. Has anybody had any experience with purchasing tickets outside Fenway this season or still seeing plenty of people holding tickets in the air for sale this year?

I can tell you that they will be more expensive as you get later into the season, so by mid-September you'll be paying a premium. That said, it's still cheaper to get them outside the ballpark if you can. They've been out there selling tickets all season, per usual.
Another tip: standing room only tickets are only $35 and if you get there soon enough you can actually get a really decent view.

We took a trip there when the saints played New England. Went to an LSU watch party across from the ball park. It was game 4 of the ALDS. We got 3rd base side tickets 7 rows up for $70/ticket.
We waited until the National anthem was playing to negotiate our ticket prices. We told the guy you can either have $70 or nothing.
Worked for us. Just be willing to walk away from overpriced tickets. Also use stubhub they always have last minute tickets available.
Hope this helps

I was also at the Baseball Tavern that day.

Good luck on your ticket quest.
There will be September game tickets available via scalpers outside Fenway.
Use good judgement as per normal to buy (hopefully) legitimate tickets.
Go Sox!

They have an Ace Ticket near the ball park. Last itme I went all tickets were the same price. Got a ticket about 10 rows behind first base dugout for $70.
Look them up.
Look them up.

I get not wanting to overpay, but i am able to see so few MLB games especially at a place like fenway, that i'm more about the seats than the price
for example, i don't know your wallet, but for a couple hundo you can sit right behind the sox dugout at every game i looked at mid-sep. to me, its about the experience and that's totally worth the $$. you'll guaranteed get in if you buy seats outside the game but do you really want to sort thru who has good seats in good sections?

My sister and her husband got Sox/Yankees tickets outside of the stadium earlier this year. Not sure what they paid, but my brother-in-law is cheap as hell, so I doubt they broke the bank.

I’m going at the end of September for Yanks vs Sox and will buy my seats so I can pick where I sit.
