I bought a Penn Clash 2500 and 3000 and want 2 quality inshore rods to pair them with. Looking or recs.
I’m a Falcon fan. I have 2 Jason Christie drop shot rods that are now the current Bocuu rods. Those would work but looking for new ideas.
Never owned a St. Croix but have friends who swear by them.
Looking forward to your thoughts. Thanks.

St Croix are very good rods. My favorite right now in the100-150 range are hurricane Red bones.
Rods all seem to go though same progression they start out reasonably priced and of sound quality and develop a reputation and following then they either skyrocket in price or start making POS. Very few brands don’t follow that pattern.

If I were buying rods for those two reels, I would put the 2500 on a 6'9" Cajun Coastal Medium Action. The 3000 series on a Cajun Delta 7'3" MH. Those two rods can handle anything inshore can throw at it. Incredibly tough and versatile. I love my Cajun rods, and at their price point, I feel like you are getting a much better rod than you pay for. And they are made here in the US.

I have a St Croix, great rod, but if I break it it's on me, my Shimano is free replacement..

I have St Croix and Falcon rods. I find them to be fairly comparable in quality and feel. I usually go with whatever one they have that is the right power, action, handle, etc for what I am going to use it for.
