Kids a gamer. 110% all the time and has skills. Projected 2nd 3rd round pic. His twin brother starts for Seattle and they like him too.

I don’t think he will be around for us in third but would he fit our system. I know he is kinda a tweener but really really like this kid after meeting him at senior bowl. ( no one I have ever liked didn’t work out)

Cam Jordan was my guy one year, and I remember telling him as he was leaving and joking around with some fans. “ You have a great sense of humor man. I bet you would love being a New Orleans Saint.”

Wtf? Do you have ADHD? You went from discussing this rookie to a story about Cam Jordan joking w/ some fans. I'm so confused.

What is so confusing?

He thinks griffin will be good. Validated his hunches with a story about how he knew cam Jordan would be good. Therefore he is smart.

Standard message board operating procedure.

Definitely need a pass rusher, a tight end, a running back behind ingram and A.kamara, ingram is getting older so need some good depth. Need a good offensive tackle, need an athletic defender so if have another play like Marcus Williams took out his team mate vs Vikings in playoffs, he can side step that one, may need a punter, need a qb to learn under drew breesus. :)

Not sure he is projected to go in 2nd or 3rd round. I have seen 4th-6th. He is a guy I would like to see on the Saints if he lasts that long.

I have been involved with Senior Bowl for over a decade now. As a result I get to spend some time with players, scouts, coaches out of limelight. All the players have NFL talent or they would not be at the Senior Bowl.

That not what I look at. I am not a talent scout but there are hundreds of the worlds best in mobile that week watching everything. ( I do talk listen to them)

I look for traits that I would want in a team mate or player that played or worked for me, and make people successful in life in general. Little things like to they work well with others, what do they do when no one is looking, can they put their damn phone and pay attention to anything, are they more involved with temporarily teammates or agents, do they listen more to coaches or damn agents, do other players respect and listen to them, do they have self confidence and self discipline. Is it a job or do they really love the game, are they good guys or total POS. Are they leaders, are they likable, are they curious, have desire to learn? Etc. I don’t get to really get to know but about 25-40% of the players but I always pick a guy out of this as my favorite guy. This year it was Griffin.

This guy is going to be a winner in life with or without football. He is the type of guy you want to have your back, in your fox hole or would follow into battle. He is a role model. He has the “it” factor yet is humble and extremely likable, and a quick learner. He would have been voted team captain of the Senior Bowl if we have one. I am a fan of his regardless of whether he joins the Saints.

So there is no need for a wr? After Thomas, there is literally 32 year old Ted Ginn and a bunch of guys that don’t scare anyone’s defenses. If Thomas or Ginn goes out for any extended period of time, the offense will struggle.

Thoughts on Mayfield? What were scouts saying as well?

Mayfield was very good with me. I had no problems with him at all and he went beyond what he was asked to do. He was polite respectful and courteous with me at all times. Other players seemed to like him too. He had a bit of a rocky start, getting in late etc due to family issue, but he played in game etc abd he should be fine. All the LSU guys were great.

95% of problems are the damn agents. From what I can tell they are root of all evil in football.

This has been a huge factor in why we've had such a quick turnaround. The locker room is now full of guys like this. This was a huge focus of this team the past 2 offseasons and it paid off. Don't think they won't take stuff like this into consideration as well like you did. Sounds like a pretty cool gig.

Btw. I think Larry Holder had us taking Griffin in the 4th round. I would think after his combine his stock would shoot up.
