Closing on the sale of our house next week and not buying for a year or so. I will net $100k from the sale. Looking to make a little money in the mean time. Suggestions please?

If you have a Capital One checking account, it's free to set up a money market account that pays 1.5% on balances over $10,000. No fees or minimum time.

When looking at CD rates, I see something called Marcus by Goldman Sachs that is offering a 12 month CD at 2.05%. Have not read up on the company, but that could be a contender. LINK
