With 85% reporting it's 1.4 million GOP voters to a little over 900k. So at this rate Texas may be even more Red in 2018 than it was in 2014 where every statewide Republican won by at least 18 points.

Some Dem in KY beat out a Rep for dog catcher, in a district that Trump won by 10 points.
ETA: didn't realize this was a TX thread. Cruz will have to bust his arse, but oil is BOOMING right now so lots of Mexicans are recent additions to the Trump Train. Beto being from El Paso, I am sure there is some cartel related dirt somewhere if people dig deep enough. El Paso is the New Orleans of TX (wrt corruption).
