Tournament conversation talk is going to be a lot more interesting if we can pull off a W tonight. Hopefully, this will be classic let down game for Bama after rolling Tennessee. Otherwise, they'll be super tough to beat with their length and athleticism. Here's to hoping for good outside shooting, not turning the ball over, and an under-motivated Alabama squad.

This would be a major step in securing a decent NIT bid

Makes sense. I'm hoping I can work in a trip to the UGA game.

LSU is on the cusp of a NCAAT bid. Many "bracketologist" (not just the bozos at the major media outlets) have them in or around the "first four out" group. The committee gave an insight last week as to what they are looking for in selecting the field. The biggest metric appears to be number of "tier 1 wins". LSU currently has 5 such wins (which is probably in the top 20% of the country). Tonight is a chance to add another one

I think only like 5 or 6 other teams have as many top tier wins as us.

This week is make or break for the bubble hopes.

2-0 and we're looking great, 1-1 still alive, 0-2 and it's a wrap.

Hate to break it to you random, but if LSU wins tonight, it is more likely than not that we will be in the NCAA'S.

Not much else needs to be said besides that.

primary objective on D should be to keep Sexton from driving into the paint, need good help defense every time he has the ball

Yea, no doubt. If our outside shot is dropping and we moving the ball well without tuning it over we might get by without them having a sub-par game if we can rebound better. Hopefully Waters comes out this shooting slump he's been on.

bc, you are probably right about the nit, and I doubt we win tonight. But if we do win tonight, we have a greater than 50% shot at an at large bid, with 7 top 50 rpi wins, and the late shedule easing a bit.
