I will be stopping in Dubai for a couple days for my honeymoon on my way to Africa.

Have seen hotels such as 4 seasons and Ritz Carlton in the 250-300/night range which seems like a good deal. Also seen other 5 star hotels for alot less.

Dubai is the only part of our trip that is not all inclusive as our safari is all inclusive. So want to go somewhere nice but not go overboard to eat and drink.

What hotels would you recommend for the start to our honeymoon for best mix of luxury and value?

I am currently in Dubai on a visit. The city has everything a major US city has. If you are just stopping over for a few days just get a decent value hotel. You can uber anywhere you want. They have just about every eating establishment that they have in the states. Every morning I walk to get a Dunkin donuts coffee and yesterday for lunch I had popeyes

THIS! Also, had some much better coffees there. Lots of places with legit good Turkish coffees.

No kidding...go 1/2 way around the world to eat and drink the same things you do at home? Waste of calories.

You can actually get an Uber helicopter in Dubai.

JW Marriott Marquis is nice. Tallest hotel in the world. It may be at or above your price range. Close to the downtown/business district.

Stayed at a Sheraton and Hilton Garden Inn within walking distance of Mall of Emirates. Both nice hotels. Sheraton more so than HGI. 10-15 minute cab ride to Mall of Dubai and Burj Khalifa.

Make a reservation at Atmosphere for drinks. Ask for a seat by the windows. 123rd floor of the Burj Khalifa.

I'm headed to Dubai in two weeks. I wish I could stay at the Burj Al Arab, but it's too pricey for me. But I don't spend much on hotels when I travel anyway. I go for the best mix of value and location.

But even though I won't be staying at the Burj Al Arab, I am having dinner there.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel could be nice place too. Just down the road from Burj Al Arab.

Madinat Jumeirah is a cool area to check out too. Nice restaurants and a cool outdoor area with hooka and drinks.
