Next year may get pretty rough. New QB, likely new OC. Lose a lot up from defensively. We could easily be 2-2 heading into the Ole Miss game. Likely losses against UGA/Bama puts us at 4 losses right there. At aTm and Florida will both be tough and probably split those games.

Moo State and Auburn return a ton of starters. LaTech on par with Troy...be careful.

Losing to Moo State this year was the culmination of a lot of things. None of which were State being any good. They were average this year and will be average next year. They have peaked and Moorhead is not some savior coach who can take a small, obscure program like State to a championship.

LOL at most of you underestimating Miami. They will have a senior Qb, their top 3 rushers will be back, and their best receiver, along with a stiff defense.

Meanwhile, we'll be starting either a Qb that only had 24 pass attempts on the year or a redshirt sophomore. Also, our running back would be starting with less than 100 rushing yards in the 2017 season and the loss of our top 2 receivers.

Well at least we have seven home games next year. I think 8 to 9 wins is very do-able.

Why did we fire miles again?

Florida with a more than capable coach that can win with a roster that is a fifth of what he had at msu (in the swamp).

A more than capable first year coach. Even elite college athletes have a learning curve.

The game will be in College Station, so 50% was generous. I feel like I've weighted these percentages enough to favor LSU.

Also, see above mentioned "learning curve." Also, since when Kyle Field is that daunting an atmosphere? Tell me, how many times has LSU lost at Kyle in since A&M has been in the SEC? I'll wait.

LSU will be so beaten up by then, the yell leaders will seem daunting, let alone Jimbo.

When is it an acceptable time to expect LSU to make the leap back into contention?

When it's reasonable to expect the team to contend based off of the talent, experience, and schedule?

On paper, do you see next year's team as a contender?

Well, yeah. Isn't that why we made a head coaching change?

No. You make a change because you don't think the existing staff is capable of accomplishing your goals in the future.

It doesn't mean that you next staff should immediately be expected to contend. That's dumb. The nextbstaff should be evaluated based on the direction of the program and answering the same question that got the previous staff fired. Do we believe that we will reach our goals under this staff?
