Suggestions for a Thanksgiving side dish

Going to a family member’s house for Thanksgiving and everyone brings a little something. Could be anything from an amuse-bouche to a traditional side.
I’m fairly handy in the kitchen, but it doesn’t have to be anything too fancy.
It’ll also have to be safe for travel for about an hour trip there or it would have to be something that could be assembled and finished on arrival (browning in an oven, etc.).
Thanks in advance.

I made green been casserole one year as a joke, and it was devoured.

Ambrosia.
Buy 12 good oranges. Peel oranges with knife and cut segments out, leaving membrane behind. Leave no white or membrane (both are bitter).
Place in bowl with juice captured when cutting segments out.
Add 12 ounces of sweetened shredded coconut.
Add a medium bottle of maraschino cherries, minus juice.
Add nothing else - no marshmallows, no cool whip, no pecans, nothing else.
Mix and chill. Best if made the day before so the flavors do their thing.
Best side on the table.
