Why would LSU fire O and then keep Alleva?

They are connected to each other.
Do you really think Alleva would hire the next Coach any different than he hired Orgeron?
How about hiring Les Miles as AD.
1) He Loves LSU.
2) Has hired more good assistant coaches than bad ones.
3) LSU is already paying him thus could save money on O's buy out.
4) Fill in your own reason......

Everyone is thinking the other way around. Alleva's job is in way more danger this year. O has to screw up more to lose his job this year.

I really don’t get the Les for AD.
I’d like a smart AD and HC. Les has made some great hires, but he’s had his share of duds and he is known to hook up his buddies.
I just rather an entirely new direction all around. Complete clean house.

That's my point both Alleva and Orgeron are connected at the hip and must go together.

Alleva could fall this year. Don't think he has a buyout. If they want to appease fans after a 3-9 season, it'll be his head on the spike. Eddy will be soon to follow as soon as the buyout is swallowable

If O fails Alleva will be fired first no if's, and's, or but's about it. Alleva's fate was tied to this coaches success or failure when Alleva stated to the national media that he is the sole search committee for our new HC - no matter who we hired.

I just said in another thread my clean house would be:
Emmert back as president
Jurich as AD
Mullen as head coach and let him pick his coaches
Hope for Briles as OC
Cochran as strength coach
Maybe keep only Aranda and maybe Raymond. Robinson is also a good coach and recruiter, but if Mullen wants to clean house so be it!!!
Fire Moffit, Grimes, Jenkins, WR coach etc...

A better question is why would LSU fire Alleva but keep Orgeron? This is what I've seen O's supporters in the new media say. "Firing O is crazy but Alleva had got to go".
Why? Why would we fire the decision maker for making a dumb decision but not fix the dumb decision?
... And making Miles AD would be the same dumb line of thinking which got Orgeron the job.
