I hear that the Barnes and Noble bookstore is the happening place. And be sure to be in the stadium early to see the crop duster flyover.

I would try to set up your tent(s) on Friday afternoon if at all possible so you have a good spot. Try to get a spot just outside the junction by the bookstore (Barnes & Noble). If you get setup by 5pm on Friday you'll be good. If you can't do that, try setting up by Dorman Hall. Go eat at Restaurant Tyler downtown, City Bagel for breakfast on Saturday or Sunday morning. Friday night will be absolutely insane in the cotton district because it's Bulldog Bash. I would avoid this area unless you are 23-under. Go downtown instead. Only a mile from downtown to stadium so walkable if weather isn't swamp-arse. MSU is like LSU in the way that they receive opposing fans the same way. Go talk to some people tailgating by y'all and you will make friends as long as you're not an arse.

Fans were pretty friendly when I went but I was with my 6 year old son so that may have helped. Fairly small campus and getting around is easy. Cowbells are even more annoying than you are probably imagining they are. Hope for a blowout so they shut those things down.

Check out Bulldog Bash in the cotton district Friday night. We went in 2015 and actually had a really good time. It's basically a free concert around a bunch of bars and is pretty cool. Go to the junction on Saturday and walk around with LSU stuff on and talk to people you'll be invited to plenty of tailgates. That's what we did in 2015. I was surprised at how late most MSU fans started tailgated. We got out there around noon and found plenty of great parking spots a short walk from the stadium and the junction.

I would go to one of the bars (Cotton Mill?) Then,go down toward the stadium with a Styrofoam ice chest. Someone will let you chill. Their band comes down kind of like ours. Maybe you can get lucky and find someone with a golf cart that will drive you around. I had a blast 2 years ago.

I've always thought tailgating there is an underrated experience. Of course it's nowhere in the same ballpark as BR. But all my experiences there have been good. They are usually pretty welcoming, outside of incessant cowbell ringing.

Probably the worse SEC venue. Enjoy

I totally disagree here. Clearly you haven't been to Vandy, Missouri, UF, Kentucky, South Carolina, or Ole Miss. tailgating at State is better than at least those six SEC schools.

Agree, Vandy is absolutely worse. Starkvegas is no picnic but you should be able to find a few tailgates.
