the Tigers suited up in throwback "old gold" uniforms vs Miss St. Is there any chance we'll wear something other than our typical gold-white-gold combo this Saturday?

No. That was a pre-scheduled gold game, and Nike had a merchandising-campaign tied into it. This year's gold game is versus Auburn on 10-14, but there have been no announcements regarding special uniforms or merchandise this year.

Those old gold uniforms versus Miss State were cleeeean. Wouldn't mind making that the permanent gold (though keep the white jerseys as the standard home. Just ditching the canary yellow for the old gold).

Rumor has it. We are considering pulling out our grey tops for this game. Apprently the uniform/helment combo are able to deflect the sound of cowbells. Nike has been working on this for a few years now.

I didn't like that "old gold" style at first, but I watched an archived broadcast of that game and it actually looks pretty good. Wouldn't want it as our primary home uniform, though.

Chris Blair did a piece in the off-season with the head LSU equipment guy, about a month ago. He said that LSU "special" uniforms like the nike pro combat stuff is planned at least a calendar year in advance and that there is nothing on the board for the 2017 season.
