Tractor supply has the 64 gun cannon fire safe for $650 marked down from $1000. Lifetime limited warranty, 60 minute fire protection at 1200F. Is this a good safe for that amount of money? All I have now is a stack on and wanted to upgrade.

Yes, I have one and it is a great bargain. Make sure you get the heating rod to keep the air moving inside. I'll be getting another with this great deal.

Eta, my dad's cannon flooded. I emptied the guns before the flood for him. Ammo stayed. I cleaned and did the best I could since then, but now it won't open. We were going to save the safe as a ammo can, but we're going to cut it open to get the rest of the ammo and archery stuff out then trash it.

Remember, cannon is sending him a new one, free and actually upgraded. Liberty told me to get fricked.

the one at academy is the Cannon
Safe Force...it is only fire rated for 30 minutes

The Cannon Wide body at TS is rated for 1 hour.

They're garbage, but will prevent a smash and grab robbery, if a crook has 30mins . and the tools, forget it, its about a tough as a closet door.

What do you recommend? I guarantee it's still a RSC if under $10,000.

They're not bad if you have an alarm system , which I do. I'm in the market for something to keep kids, fore and smash and grabs out.

Meh. AMSEC and Graffunder make true safes, for guns, for under that. Now, are you going to get them on sale for $600? No. But, you can spend half that on a tool box and get the same protection.

What kinda dough we talking for a decent AMSEC or Graffunder gun safe? Typical mid size.

I am very pleased with mine. They are better ones out there but not in my price range.

Oh - you're going to be in the $3500 to $6k for mid-range/mid-size safes from them, maybe drifting up if you don't have a close dealer or some installation hiccups. But you'll own a real safe, not a steel box with a door that looks like a safe.
