A couple of questions about the bash.

I have never attended but plan to make it this year. For the veterans who went when it was in the river center. Where is the best place to park? I heard somewhere that parking situation is messed up in that area. I know it opens at 8:30 but is it a waste to get there that early? Is there constantly something going on? Can you leave and come back in?

Parking garages, and yes you can leave and come back, they put a wrist band on you.

In 2006, I was working at French Market Bistro on Highland and called in sick so a buddy and I could go to the bash. Well at the end of the day, I had the opportunity to have Les and a few of the guys sign my helmet. Welp, wouldn't you know it, someone from the newspaper snapped a photo and it was on the front page of the advocate sports page. It wasn't a big deal being a bartending job but funny anyway.

The bash is pretty entertaining when there are signing day commitments shown live in the screen.
