Can anyone remind me why lsu takes the early game? I think I heard the reasoning that they know the night games will sellout so they try and get fans out there early hoping they'll stay and have twice as many people spending $$

To be able to focus on scouting the next opponent without worrying about a game you're about to play.

not sure that it matters but the higher seed gets longer rest before their second game assuming they win.
