that cart was probably left over food from earlier or the day before....so she turned in a # she had sold, and it was understood the rest was thrown away.....I would think something along these lines happened.

or

She did the cart all on her own with extra food leftovers and so there was no reporting at all, until the video caught her. She was the manager and probably didn't draw flags because the sakes were all turned in from the other 3 registers.

Lawyers, is it theft if it was food that was supposed to be discarded for zero income?

I know of a PE teacher who let kids pay two dollars if they wanted to sit out of PE for the day. He was making several hundred a week. He was also fired.

So a friend of mine teaches at North Sprinfs High. Turns out that this lady was fired in July. The media just found out about it and began their usual sensationalist bullshite. Congrats on falling for the bullshite.

BTW, North Springs High is in Sandy Springs, one of the wealthier suburbs of Atlanta.

I don't think she was fired, I think she retired as soon as the first story appeared on the news last year.

The concession stand at my high school had money stolen like this. The QBs grandmother was taking money every single game.

The didn't want to make his family look bad so they just basically let it go. Some people had chipped in to repay it took keep his name clean.

I thought it was BS

A whistleblower provided video inside the North Springs cafeteria. There were four lines that each had a cash register to keep track of the money.

Standing alone was a blue cart that sold a-la-carte items for cash and never had a register.

...could she have been selling items that she brought herself? She was the cafeteria manager so she could have seriusly been cooking the books, but what are the chances she was selling stuff on the side she brought in or had people making?

What exactly was sensationalized, and what exactly did we fall for? Regardless if the story is 6 months old..did it not actually happen?
