Hasn't it been said coaches' (all faculty) children get free tuition to lsu??

there are rules to it. Like have to have been there a certain amount of time and stuff so teams dont just higher guys to get their kid on the team for free

and moffit was a good player up until his injury.

I'd give Clay Moffit a grayshirt in a New York second. He's definitely not elite, but he's legit, and he would be a great "locker room" guy and solid role player. You need those guys, every great LSU team has em.

Manny has a future in baseball, imho. Pitchers that good don't grow on trees.

Moffit would not allow the team to use a scholly on his son. Hes such an LSU die hard that he will say I will pay for school

Just my opinion.

Look clown, he started on both sides of the line and played special teams before he got hurt last year. You don't know what the frick you're talking about.

Look dick, we're recruiting him for tight end and he was the second best tight end on the team last year

Yeah... why would lsu give moffit a greyshirt, that uses a scholarship and he has to wait a year. He would be a walkon, can come in right away and help out. He's a very good player but not a stud

Unless that's what some of y'all meant by greyshirt, but I see now way he's put on scholarship as a 2014 football recruit

Manny will only be a Junior this year and I don't think either one will be using a scholarship if they attend LSU.

I don't believe that Moffitt can take a baseball scholarship anyway if he is choosing to try and walk on the football team. You can't take a baseball scholly (or any other scholorship) and play football.

correct. If you play 2 sports and one of those sports is football you must be on football scholly.

Its because Bear Bryant use to stack his team and get players on swimming schollys and shite hahah

he just took people so other teams could have them

I think it's because Moffitt wants to wait until after baseball season to choose a sport. That will be well after football signing period, so they would have to take him as a greyshirt if he chooses football.

Make sense?

Yeah makes sense.

That's why he could just go to lsu and be a walkon and have it work out perfectly for his time table

Velocity isn't the only thing makes a fastball good. Location mainly and movement. If its flat and he can't locate he won't be a good pitcher

you obviously did not go to many Catholic High games last year. Before he got hurt, is started every game.

Not good enough? Before Clay tore his ACL, he never left the field. Offense, defense, and special teams. All of this at the highest classification (5A school) in Louisiana. Is he ready to start at LSU today? No, but he still has a year to develop and get better.....

Also his pitching is good enough right now for him to be flown from coast to coast to pitch in top tournaments. Again, he has another year to get better.....

I don't see how they can seriously hold a spot for Moffit in this class, even if it is a grey shirt. He can play, but I don't think he's LSU scholly worthy, esp this year.

Not only does Tommy Moffitt make bank, but I'd be shocked if there wasn't some tuition discount for his son because Moffitt works for the University.
