Headed up there Sunday for a week. Trying to find outdoorsy things to do. Never been before. Any suggestions?

Make sure you get the right license. One allows you to fish inside the national Forrest only. Another is for outside. And that water is fn cold!

That too! It's a blast! The ones on the pigeon river only do it a couple of times a week, cause they do a controlled release just for rafting.

I was thinking it might be over fished with all the tourists. We are definitely going rafting and hiking.

Cade's cove is nice. I go every time I'm up there. It never gets old. One year we went half way around the loop to the ranger station, but rather than finishing the loop, took a right on parsons branch road. It's literally a one lane dirt road through the mountain. It'll come out just east of Townsend. We then went to deals gap, Fontana dam, and on to Cherokee and then came back across the Cumberland gap. One of the best days I've ever had up there and didn't cost us anything but gas.

Yes. Caught a few trout. If you want a real trip, find a fly fishing guide.
