I just read that Fabian was injured today too, any truth to that?

He missed today's game. They called it a "muscular problem" If he can't play against Costa Rica, Jurgy will have to get creative. I think Edgar Castillo's bitch arse is also injured.

Yeah he's hurt, wasn't selected for the match today. Parkhurst hasn't really been playing that much, but don't think he's hurt.

Then play Boca out wide left and pair Cameron and Gonzales in the middle with chandler at RB. And pray for the best.

everything can be broken down into objective evidence.

absolute bullshite,
I kind of agree with both of these opposing arguments.
The problem is that extremely effective soccer statistics would need -- probably to a much greater degree that almost any other popular sport -- to quantify things like off the ball runs which pull defenders out of place etc etc etc...
The "assist" or the "goal" are so often result of a truly brilliant move elsewhere that isn't "objectified".
To make an analogy, I'd say that it's as if basketball games were low scoring enough that a single screen (which made the actual open layup something any pro should finish) or one cut off passing lane that results in someone else getting a steal ends up being the "key" play of the game.
This is why so many people say you have to just watch the match but, at the same time, there's really not been statistics I've seen which engage this complexity with the work hours it would take to break it down into metrics.
