February is prime for frogs. I actually plan on going this weekend. I have gig'd 3 frogs in my life. When the 3rd one got off the gig and slwowly made it back to the bank, I realized it was not right. Benn catching them with the hand ever since

I ain't saying shite. The other night I got drunk and typed up all kinds of hints for a beginning turkey hunter. Turkeys are as valuable as money to me. Frogs are like pussy.

Hey ten, I picked up a baby snapping turtle on the road last weekend. Going to release it at a State Park lake but just wanted to let you know we may have an early season.

if your into frogging you should enter into the blind river bar tourney this summer. You can frog where ever you want just have to make it back to the weigh-in in time.

We had a sack of a lifetime last year and didnt win

Yeah I caught a couple in hoop nets after these last couple rains. You can keep those little ones alive if you have a private pond someone will let you use. Drill a 1/4" hole through his/her shell about an inch from the edge. Go get you a really small stainless shackle and attach to a cable attached to a tree. It's fun to throw scraps in the water then watch the cable and bubbles go towards the food. A small (3-5lb) turtle can get to eatin size in just a couple years.

I have several friends with ponds but I like to release them where I dont' think they'll ever have to leave looking for anything. It's the back end of Chicot and more like a swamp.

I'll make a run up that way soon. Like to make sure they're well-fed too so they have a good start.

Oh and this lil fellar is not more than a pound.

If he was a deer we'd call him a "whole-fryer."
