Heres the idea: Its for the Xbox. You are a hero and you control your character from a third person perspective. Not only do you control your character but you also control a large group of soldiers that walk around with you. In the game you get into massive battles with other armies while controling several groups of your own. The armies range from swordsmen, calvalry, and things like orcs.

I know there was 2 or 3 of these games but I cannot recall the title. If anyone knows what I mean and can help me out thatd be great.

You might be thinking of Bladestorm or Kingdom Under Fire

Ninety Nine Nights or Kingdom Under Fire for the original Xbox. Those are the only two I can think of. Really enjoyed both.

KUF for the 360 was completely different from the Xbox additions.

Really? I just had a moment of nostalgia and wanted to see how they played again. I just saw the one for the 360 and almost got excited. How is it different?

The 360 version was pretty awful.

What a shame. The first one for the original xbox was really fun. I was hoping they had made an updated one fot the 360 but guess they just screwed it up.

It's more a direct action rpg without the large scale action and strategy bits. It also has some stupid restrictions on your character that make the game pretty monotonous.

Is there any other game made along the same lines that I would enjoy?

Yeah, they were working on a sequel that was more in-line with the original game on Xbox but that morphed into an MMO-type monstrosity that is in development limbo IIRC.

I am the king of obscure strategy games, I love them.

I mentioned Nintety-Nine Nights which has some similarities, but it's more an action game than a strategy title (controls more like Dynasty Warriors). It is fun though, and you should be able to find it for very cheap.
