I'm elbow deep in that process right now...taking a break before injecting and wet rubbing...

Did anyone try something close to this and how were the results?

I followed it pretty close and got a lot of "best evar" reviews. It was tedious but worth it.

I was in the middle of a long brining process when this link was posted. I had planned on getting up at 5am for my traditional long big green egg process. Instead, I used this method exactly, slept in to 730, and had rave comments about how good the turkey was. A 21lb bird took 3 hours tops!

My BIL, the disaster prepper, liked it so much he gave my a standing invitation to his shelter of last resort (as long as I bring my Big Green Egg and this turkey recipe).

Thanks OP for the link. Definitely bookmarked.
