Boat Motor Issue

I have a Mercury 150 Pro XS. Motor will start just fine but die within 1 second of starting. There is either fuel or oil leaking into the water where my boat is sitting. Im trying to link pics but have no idea how to do it. In order to not get stranded where I was fishing I had to start the motor and gas it within that 1 second before it died. Once I geting into gear it runs just fine. Anyone have an issue like this and wonder what it could be? Exterior lines look fine so I have no idea where leak is coiming from.

Have you checked your fuel/water seperator? perhaps it's not tightened causing a void and fuel is getting into bilge through loose threads?

Postimages.org for pics…. Put the link in the “img” button on the right when posting
Sounds like fuel to me…. How old is the gas? Have you ever messed with the VST?
