Does Milazzo continue to start when Skenes pitches?

It’s another hole in the lineup that we are stuck with at C if Travinski starts at DH. If Neal is still out, the only option would be Frey since he works as the bullpen catcher.

Milazzo’s BA in SEC play is .222.

Dugas has a terrible BA in SEC play but his OB% is .430

Jones, Kling, or Pearson for the last spot in the order with Trav at C and Beloso at DH.

Yes, he does. We are going for defense with skenes on the mound, as we should

But, normally Skenes is going against their best and we may be in a similar position at the plate like today.

Is Neal still banged up or are we just gonna ride with Milazzo until the end?

Absolutely did you watch the game? What other catcher can catch Skenes. He saved like 4 past balls that no other catcher could have caught. Neal is hurt.

Some rumors came out that he was done for the year several weeks ago.

Probably true.

hasn't Milazzo been called "Skenes' personal catcher"?

if so... I would imagine it won't change this late in the season... Milazzo will continue to catch Skenes

he saved a couple WPs in today's game (prepared to take heat for the catcher's interference that ended up costing LSU 3 runs)

Yes, and Travinski has started 2/3 the last 3-4 weeks and he isn’t the passed ball machine like everyone here makes him out to be.

The only part of this I disagree with is elevating Beloso above the other 3. He should rotate along with those guys, especially against lefties.

Beloso has taken such a big dip lately that honestly that I think he does.

I wonder how much better Travinski is without the fatigue from catching too. There's a cost benefit there and he's swinging the hottest stick int he lineup right now

Not saying he is but he wasn’t getting those.

It’s why you bring in Milazzo as a late inning defensive replacement to keep him from getting worn out.

Since Trevinski got sick from the heat I think they have been careful with him. I don’t know if we will see him catch back to back games.
