How accurate is the test? I’ve battled intermittent GI issues and I narrowed it down to an allergic reaction but couldn’t pinpoint it exactly.

Blood allergy test listed 3 issues:
1. Peanut & Sesame Seeds barely read into the low range for an allergy.
2. Milk was in the middle of the low range for an allergy.

It probably is the diary thing causing my issues and it sucks. If I have milk in the morning, I’ll have some terrible gas in the afternoon. Originally I thought it was a lactose intolerance so I stuck with Fairlife milk. Some times, it’ll cause lower GI inflammation for 2-3 days.

I tried an Oat Milk and it tasted like colored water. Any good milk substitutes?

I grew up with a milk allergy. It sucked because there were no alternatives. Eventually, I outgrew it. I use alternatives for my protein shakes. Try a bunch and find one you like. Oat milk is closest to real milk IMO.

I have a food allergy test at the house. Need to take it.

I love non-sweetened Almond milk but I've been drinking it for years. Try them all until you find one you like. They have Almond/Coconut, Coconut, some sweetened, some not sweetened, etc.

Send in a tube of ketchup along with your blood but don’t tell them it’s ketchup and compare the results of your blood and the ketchup

I bet they’re the same

People with milk allergies are 10% smaller on average. I'm 5'9". All my bothers are 6' or better. Again, I wish there had been alternatives when I was young.

Almond is probably my least favorite. Oat is probably my favorite. I use them strictly for my protein shakes so I just grab whichever unsweet, vanilla is on sale.

Is it the fat or the latcose? Have you tried heavy cream instead (no lactose)? You can get "manufacturer's cream" that's even "heavier".

It's controversial. Especially depends on if your doc ordered IgG(not indicative of an allergy) vs IgE

Positive testing to food allergens isn't necessarily indicative of a true sensitivity/allergy or problem.

I.e. if you have positive testing to bananas but you've have eaten lots of bananas in the past without issue, doesn't mean you need to go restricting your diet of bananas.

However if you have positive testing to egg or whatnot and you've noticed GI symptoms following ingestion of those items, then it may lead credence to a sensitivy and diet modifications may be warranted.

There are some who believe that blanket elimination diets of positive results may also worsen sensitivities as well next time you ingest those items because of loss of tolerance.

Since my allergy to milk is low, would a daily antihistamine work for me?
