It's not entirely their doing outside of their infatuation with the Jimbo/Saban drama. Once they selected Aggie/Bama, there's no way ESPN was bypassing UT/LSU with their #2 selection from the schedule. Only time slot ESPN has available is 11AM thanks to CBS's primetime game.

CBS had 1 and 2 picks. They chose UGA/Auburn over LSU/UT.

I am pretty sure it is first and third. ESPN gets second pick.

Les or Alleva would not have let this happen… Woody needs to earn his keep and fix this.

As I've read it, CBS has 1st and 3rd selections and ESPN gets the 2nd.

It's possible I'm off. I've seen that several places but also seeing CBS did 1 & 2. This tweet is from Peter Burns of ESPN

quote:

Don’t believe that’s the case, I believe with the afternoon/night doubleheaders they get first two picks.

You'd think he'd know for sure but he also uses "I believe" so shite who knows. It made sense to me that they had 1 & 3 because if they had 2 its senseless to bypass a likely competive game for UGA/AU which will be over in the first quarter and lose viewers.
