Pretty sure they literally just sold some the Avoylles Parish property just last year and I know for a fact had a buyer for one of the Catahoula properties two years ago before the buyer backed out.

There are many things that can be done legislatively that can make properly unaffordable to own forcing you to sell. One being property taxes. Families that owned large tracts of farmland land in California for decades have been forced to sell parts of it to pay the every increasing taxes.
