It has new footage and first-hand accounts.
I just watched 10 minutes of it but it seems very interesting. I did cut it off because it is in Russian with English subtitles and so not background entertainment. Will have to hit it again when I can devote full attention to it.

I have it recorded. Interested in watching it soon as well.

My first impression is how well the Chernobyl mini-series reproduces the true event. The movie makers must have had access to these lost tapes when they shot the series.

Watched it last night, pretty good. The guys they sent on the roof to clear the graphite, suicide mission and the soldiers did not know it. Something like 80% didn't make it.

I caught the last 20 minutes of it the other night in my hotel. It was interesting enough for me to watch the whole thing. This kind of stuff fascinates me.

The red curtain really pulled off a good cover up for a long time. It was kind of weird/funny to see the soldiers laughing and joking about how they were ok, getting promised vodka.....all would be dead or wishing they were in a matter of days/weeks.

Yeah, it makes me like the series even more.

I remember seeing photos of the actual scenes/damage posted in the original chernobyl mini series tread, and they were almost impossible to look at. At least the photos of people. This documentary is going to be hard to watch at some points I'm sure. It's up next for me. The mini-series is one of the greatest shows of all time.
