Started an LLC and now getting a lot of mail asking for money for documents

Don’t want to get bamboozled but they all seem legit. The four I have gotten so far is
“Certified Articles of Organization” for $75,
“Certificate of status request form” for $87
“Compliance Poster service” for $98
“Labor Poster Compliance” for $85
I have no problem paying them if it’s legit. Just don’t want to taken advantage of. All of them have BR addresses.

If you need TD baby sitting for the wave of scam mail as a result of you owning a LLC, you need to re-think being a business owner. Hope this was a troll from you.

I didn’t know if it was fake or not which is why I asked in the first place. Seemed a bit fishy but wasn’t sure.

You will get a bunch every time of the year it is llc renewals… they will fill up your box… not sure it ever slows down..

It's not legit.
All the way down to your registered agent. It's all a money grab.
Some of these things you need, but can do yourself. The registered agent is a good example. All it is is a paper you file.

Registered agent…
I need an address in the state the llc is at that is a real address with people monitoring the mail..
I resides in a different state than the llc… not sure how to do that without a registered agent in the state of the llc?
Is there a way around that? Not burdening any friends or relatives living in the state with the responsibility…

There are multiple national services that can serve as your registered agent. They aren’t very expensive. Capitol Services is who I use.
