Before I get blasted I did try to look it up…. I got conflicting info.. How does it work with Air Force Cadet that gets drafted in the NFL? I thought they have to serve at least 2 years before they can go to the NFL? Will Jordan have to still serve? Thanks for any help.

Not anymore. They can get a waiver from the military to play ball.

Their service gets deferred

What if he has like a 20-year career (very unlikely)?

Going to be one I will be watching at camp. Has a great first punch coming off the line. Seems more of a pass rushing DT in videos and write ups so will be hard to make the team unless the ol 'special team standout' comes to be.
With his AF commitment can't see him wanting to be on the PS for very long

I believe if his NFL career exceeds his agreed deferment period, he pays the AF back for the cost of his civil engineering degree.

Military can grant a deferment or even a waiver. Normally, for the air force academy, 8 years of service is required, 5 active. The other branches are shorter.
