Already over half the errors as all of last season.

2021: 63 errors in 63 games
2022: 33 errors in 19 games. On pace for over 109 if this keeps up.

I’m not a Johnson apologist, but I’m also not going to say he’s going to be Smoke either. Fact is, this team is only 2 games behind the pace of the 2009 team (yes I know they had a historic run) but there’s a reason baseball has such long seasons.
That said, if this stat holds true for the rest of the year, then that’s all on Johnson. It is literally the coach’s job to find the weaknesses on your own team and coach those weaknesses into non-liabilities.

And this is why LSU will struggle to win games. Either LSU doesn’t have the talent or Jay isn’t the coach we thought.

It is kind of hard to win games when you strike out 15 times in a game. Not too many RBI's in KO's.
