Don't kid yourself - $100 million is a ton of money and would entice almost anyone to come here.
Notre Dame would have matched the contract had he asked. They have tons of money. But the dude never gave them a chance. Dude just ghosted. Think he realized Notre Dame was a dead end and at the current state of college football it wasn't possible to win there.

It's a lot of money, but it's not the "my kids kids will never have to work" type of thing - unless managed properl
you give me $40M after tax and I can damn sure never make my kids work for their whole life.

Hell that would pay out $500-700k a year in interest on a simple CD with zero risk. Without ever touching the 40m

yeah people forget he didn't let ND counter.

This was NOT about money because he could've gotten money if that's what he was looking for.

That should make lsu fans excited

Sure. Of course, the problem is he only gets $10M this year - probably closer to $5M after tax.

You might be surprised how heirs can royally squander shite.

Eh. The after-tax, present value of that is probably like $20M. Not bad, but certainly easily squanderable by just his kids.

Not close. PV after-tax is around $60,000,000. Some goes to his agent, so make it 50-55 million. But likely bonuses for Championships and such. This is a great deal of money.
