I’m curious how many of y’all actually hunt Tensas.

I have hunted there since the late 90's. It is by far one of the most humbling places I have ever hunted. The primitive weekend is the one weekend I will never hunt there. Expect a lot of people and wear a lot of orange. It will be hot so expect to fight mosquitos as well.

Good luck and stay safe.

The areas I’ve seen big deer were always a couple miles into the woods between fingers of water. Guy that I work with has camp up there, he said that area is dry. Might want to look into the no waterfowl hunting area. There’s some private land you can get next to also, but everyone knows about that too. With these new crossbows, I’m tempted to go paddle around once it floods and pick one off at 80-90 yards.
