This deal was more than likely in the works for a while now. Looking back, the Howard family was more than likely privy to some inside information and was told to visit ND to see how him and Brian Kelly would fit. It's not far fetched because Howard is the prize recruit of this class. And I believe with his comments about much he liked Kelly, is what led to this. Your thoughts?

Howard may have known something and visited Notre Dame to see how he fit with Kelly. I don’t believe it was orchestrated by SW or that he was waiting on Howard’s approval.

I was at Notre Dame for the Navy game a few weeks ago. Maybe I went up there to seal the deal too.

Y'all do know that Howard was heavily recruited by Notre Dame, right? It's not like this was a first-time introductory meeting.
